How to Install a New Computer Monitor?

Here is the method to replace the old monitor with the new one.
Most of today's monitors are "Plug and Play," which means that all one must do is attach the monitor to the computer, plug in the power cord and turn on both devices. It is good practice to uninstall an existing monitor before connecting a new one. Follow these steps to find the proper connection on the back of the computer to replace the monitor.

Step 1:Click on "Start" in the lower left-hand corner of the desktop screen, then click on "Control Panel" in the menu.

Step 2:Select the "Performance and Maintenance" link and click on the "System" link.

Step 3:Choose the "Hardware" tab at the top of the System Properties form and click on the "Device Manager" button.

Step 4:Expand the Monitors list by clicking on the "+" next to Monitors. Perform a right mouse click on the monitor name that is shown. Move the mouse cursor down to "Uninstall" and perform a left mouse click. Select "OK" in the dialog box that will appear.

Step 5:Pick "No" in the next dialog box that will have the message that the system must be restarted in order to complete uninstalling the monitor. Click on "Start," then "Shut Down" in order to shut down the system.

Step 6:Unplug the old monitor and replace it with the new monitor. Restart the system
