Apple Releases iPad 2 Specifications

Apple just recently released the specifications of its next generation iPad device (named the iPad 2). In comparison to the current version of the iPad the iPad 2 is actually quite an upgrade. So what’s different about this version?
Yes, it will be thinner and lighter but the outside specs aren’t really all that appealing. It’s the internals that will really make the difference.
For starters the iPad 2 will be running on a 1GHz dual core processor (instead of a single core). There will be a front-facing VGA camera presumably for FaceTime video conferencing or just snapping glamour shots of yourself. There will also be a 720p rear camera as well which is something the first generation iPad should have had but didn’t.
The iPad 2 will also come equipped with a gyroscope in addition to the traditional accelerometer which might open up the way for some truly interesting applications (or lead to a bunch of exploitive games clogging the App Store).
In addition, there will be three versions of the iPad 2 ready to overtake the world upon release. Of course you’ll be able to snap up the AT&T version but Verizon will also have its own model. In addition, if you want to go the “cheap” route, there will be a WiFi only model as well.
Other than that, the two will be pretty much the same. Stay tuned for more updates.

If you’re an urban dweller who has always wanted an electric motorcycle but just didn’t have the proper hook up to charge the thing—let’s face it, taking one of these things up a flight of stairs wouldn’t be pretty–Zero motorcycles has launched a new unit (the Zero XU) for you.  The XU features a removable battery pack that you can take inside with you (leaving the bulky motorcycle bit outside).  The battery pack can be charged from a regular outlet in just a few hours and makes owning an electric cycle that much more appealing.

Panasonic’s New Blu-Ray Player Deals: Faster, Better, Stronger

All Kanye West allusions aside, the lineup of 2011 Blu-ray players from Panasonic looks promising.  Gone are the days when the simple ability to play Blu-ray discs was enough to sell these devices.  Companies have had to get smart, connected, and go social in order to get customers to spend their hard earned cash and Panasonic may be leading the pack

Electric Motor Bike – Shadow Ebike Has a Cool Name and USB Ports!

The Shadow Ebike is a new variation of an old concept: the Electric bike.  While we’ve brought you several different models over the past year and a half or so, the Shadow Ebike has the potential to top them due to its great design.
Apple MacBooks – New Ones Get Serious Upgrades

With “bargain” PCs getting Sandy Bridge technology, Apple decided it better step up to the plate with its new line of MacBook Pros.  Not only did they get the faster, sleeker chipsets, but several models now come standard with AMD Radeon graphics (instead of Nvidia’s chips).  But the story doesn’t end there.

Rugged Laptop – GammaTech’s New Durabook Doesn’t Look That Tough…

But it is.  That’s the kicker that GammaTech is counting on to sell their little performers.  The Durabook S15C is designed to look like a “normal” laptop but can take a beating just like the best of the toughbooks.

HTC Merge Launch Announced

If you’ve not heard about HTC’s newest Android handset the Merge, you’ve probably not been skulking about the Internet listening to all the unofficial “official” chatter about the phone.  It’s basically a 3.8 inch touchscreen with a slide out QWERTY keyboard and Android 2.2.

New Sony VAIOs – Laptop Gets Beat With The Ugly Stick
Sony VAIOs - Laptop
Who says tech has to look cool?  At least that’s what somebody at Sony said when they okayed the design for the new VAIO CA and CB models.  Sure they pack the Core i5 heat but they look like neon-clad rejects from Miami Vice.

Web Device – Archos Arnova Puts Other Clock Radios to Shame
Web Device

Just when you thought nobody else could come up with yet another overpriced clock radio to part you with your hard earned cash, Archos steps up to the plate with the new Arnova.  In spite of its wonky name, the Arnova is actually quite an attractive piece of tech.
