How to Restore Your System

What is system restore?
System restore helps you to restore your system’s files to a previous known good configuration without affecting your personal files such as photos, videos, or emails. It’s a way to undo the changes to your system. Sometimes installation of a program and a driver may cause unexpected change in the system, usually uninstallation of the driver corrects the problem but if the problem persists you can solve it by restoring your system.

Finding your Mac OS X version and build information

Finding your Mac OS X version and build number
From the Apple () menu, choose About This Mac.

The About This Mac window appears, showing your OS X version number.

In the above example, the version is 10.7 (OS X Lion).
To see the OS X build version, click the word "Version" in the About This Mac window (clicking "Version" toggles you through the version, build, and serial number information for your Mac).
The build number depends on the version of the OS X operating system that you have installed. When you install an OS X system software update, you get a new build number. The build number of OS X that ships with a Mac may be different than what appears below.
You can also access the OS X version and build number from System Information. In the About This Mac window, click More Info to view this information in the System Information dialog box.

10 Tips For Your Facebook Privacy

1. Organize Friends in Lists

What do you do when your boss, mother-in-law, or a casual web acquaintance sends you a friend request on Facebook? Use Friend Lists. Friend Lists are the foundation of your Facebook privacy settings. Select Friends from the top menu, and use the Create link to create friend lists like Co-workers, Family, College Friends, etc. Your friends can’t see your lists, so you can name them whatever you like.

Tip: On your left sidebar, all your friend lists may not show up by default. Click More to see all of them, and drag and drop those you want above the separator.
